How to properly use Drysol and Glycopyrrolate spray to maximize their effects?

Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) is currently affecting about 3% of our population. The primary cause of causing sweat gland overactive however is unknown. The condition greatly affects social embarrassment, confident level, emotional well being and even clothing selection.

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) and Glycopyrrolate are two clinically proven effective topical treatment options. Areas of treatment include underarm, hands, feet, scalp and face.

Drysol comes in 3 different strengths (mild, regular and extra strength). Selection of strength would be tailor to the area and the severity of the condition. For example, for underarm, feet or palm area, regular or extra strength should be considered. Mild strength would be suitable for milder case and as maintenance therapy and suitable for back, toes, or face area.

Glycopyrrolate topical spray is another effective treatment option especially on face and scalp area. It can also be used together with Drysol to enhance antiperspirant effect.

How to apply Drysol and/ or Glycopyrrolate Spray?

Apply Drysol solution at bedtime to allow 6 to 8 hours of application. Ensure the affected area is completely dry before application to minimize potential skin irritation. A hair dryer at cool or warm setting can be used for a few minutes to ensure skin is dry completely. Wash the treated area the following morning. Repeat use until sweating is reduced. Then reduce the frequency of use to 1 to 2 times weekly or as desired to maintain the effect.

Drysol and/ or Topical Glycopyrrolate is being applied to affected area once daily at bedtime. Avoid nose, mouth and eye areas. Do not wash the treated area for 4 hours after the application. If enhanced antiperspirant effect is needed or in severe case of sweating, Glycoyprrolate can be added to the treatment along with Drysol both apply in the morning while Drysol to be applied again at bedtime.
